Copious amounts of Advil.

Aleve and Tylenol are weaksauce and don't address the worst symptoms right away.

I use Rest.

It heals all of my status conditions, the only penalty is that I sleep for two turns.

What do you have? The flu or a cold? They're completely different.

I haven't had the flu in over 10 years, and I don't take flu shots, either.

During "colds", which, for me, consist of a sore throat for a few days max followed by a nasal congestion-- I just deal with it and the worst of it is gone with in a week---lingering side effects are more minimal, but can last a few weeks.

I've found over the counter medications don't help too much and often result in other issues. For instance, I had congestion and took some "decongestant" pills. My nose was completely clear for several hours---but I couldn't taste anything for a day or two. Not worth it.

Just get rest, stay hydrated, and let it run its course. There is no cure.

Cold, I guess. Now I am not sure what a flu is, in any case, my sore throat makes drinking water a pain. But I guess I could give it a shot.

don't worry, most people don't. it knocks you out for almost a week and it's a different feel from a cold.
everyone confuses them, it's no biggie to get them mixed up cause everyone does

Lots of vitamin c and water. For medications take Dayquil/Ny along with drinking theraflu, emergen c, and or airborne. You should be good in 3-4 days. For food just stick to soups, fruits, and vegetables.

The flu often causes you to sweat and shiver. Body chills---you're never comfortable and your whole body is extremely weak and achy. You will also be likely be running a fever.

You'll know it when you have it.

If you can still get out of bed and go to work and only have symptoms of, "Awww... this kinda sucks" then you don't have the flu.

If you have the flu you'll know it. It's everything a cold is but crank the misery up x10. With a cold you can still get up if need be. You can power through it as unpleasant as it is. The flu will have you down. Chills, fever, body ache like you can't believe. And you will have absolutely zero energy and just be stuck in bed. I've only had the flu a few times in my life. 35 here and the last time must have been well over a decade ago.
With the flu you still feel it a couple of weeks later. You don't feel 100%. Lingering cough and less energy. Hit it with as much flu medicine as you can safely take. Vicks on your chest and in a vaporizer. And just rest. The flu just has to run it's course.
A cold do your cold medicine of choice. OJ. Lots of vitamin C. And I swear by a hot toddy. Hot black tea with a shot or two of whiskey, lemon juice, some honey and a cinnamon stick if you have one available. Absolutely kills a sore throat. So does spicy food.
