There's a million ways she could have said "I don't believe in climate change" that didn't involve her saying that she had a comparatively easier time believing in divine punishment for homosexuality.

She said it that way for a reason; because she knows a conservative base will rally behind a double whammy of hating gays and disavowing climate change.
