Might just take a little longer to absorb. If you're in serious pain you'll notice it dull or disappear. If you actually need an opioid they don't really make you loose.

You were right. I waited a couple of hours and took two more tablets and now I feel so freaking good. The bottle said take two every few hours as needed but I think I went overboard taking four tabs in 5 hours. But still, I feel great!

I can see how people get addicted to this stuff. Good thing I only have 4 tablets left and that shit is hard to get a prescription for. Basically had to beg my dentist for it because of the pain.

I had to go to the hospital and get a morphine injection in my ass due to an impacted wisdom tooth. By far the worst pain I have ever felt. The morphine stopped the pain almost immediately.

I honestly wonder how people dealt with this shit before modern medicine. Wouldn't surprise me if people committed suicide due to severe tooth pain.

Back with a question!

So the stuff I'm taking is labeled on the bottle as follows: Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-350 mg Tab Rhod

Bottle says to take 1 to 2 tabs every 4 to 6 hours as needed, but do not take more than 8 tabs in a 24 hour period.... Well, I just had a bout of severe tooth pain, so I went ahead and took 3 tabs to expedite the process. It's been about 28 hours since I've taken any at all. I KNOW I should follow the label exactly, but goddamn this tooth is killing me! It's been about an hour since I took the 3 tabs and my pain is very dull, almost gone, but otherwise I feel fine.

Am I okay or did I take too much?

might want to be careful about taking them for too many days in a row. i know some pain medications cause a rebound headache (learned this when the culprit was the whitening toothpaste). caused my teeth to hurt until i stopped using the product and began using the sensodyne instead.

it might be me that experiences that problem. not sure.

You should be fine this time but you should follow the prescription. You don't want to hurt your liver.

Are you eventually getting the tooth treated? Extraction or root canal I imagine?

I'm using Sensodyne as well, actually! :) And I will be careful about that, thanks. Was a rash decision I admit but pain makes us do stupid things sometimes...

Recommended daily max is 3 grams to avoid that.

Orajel sucks. Tiger Balm worked for me after my face stopped being on fire from it. It also made my skin peel a lil....worth it in the end cause FUCK tooth aches

Yeah, fuck that shit. I also used whitening toothpaste few years ago, it was some cheap brand, and ALL my teeth ached after using it few times. Now days i buy expensive tooth paste from pharmacy only. I use oral pro stuff.

5mg hydro is pretty weak

on a full stomach yeah wouldnt expect much off of 2

even still you abuse 5mg norco it is still enough to mentally hook you i imagine. don't take more than 2 at a time.

and an opiate problem is NOT fun, even when you have huge scripts and arent worried about running out, they change your ass. i've been on and off of those shits for like half of my life now.

I count my blessings everyday that I find coke so unappealing. Done it a handful of times and just never got the worth when the high/down ratio is so unbalanced. Add that the cost is fuckin stupid high.

I won't lie when I abuse them and run out early I end up counting down the days until my next script while trying not to lose my mind. I get hot/cold sensations if I go cold turkey along with restless leg syndrome. But Ive had a few chances to scar my pride and dignity for the easy way out and I haven't dobe it yet tho. Doubt I ever will. Very prideful and Id never want to come off that weak

I had a Percocet script once, 15mg every 3 hours for like 3 weeks. I don't know how people can do those for fun. Sure I was high as fuck for 3weeks straight but I'd be awake watching tv one minute and asleep 2 seconds later.

I did miss them after though because I was still in a ton of pain and couldn't sleep.

I had to go to the dentist for tooth pain about a month ago.

They gave me some Vicodin and antibiotics. I honestly didn't even pick up the Vicodin, I just kinda dealt with it and used Tylenol to (try to) control it.

when I was on opiates I was mean as shit for some reason and my relationships with people get rocky. they don't like how i act. when you get off of them you might get bad ibs-d and depression, then get back on, then off, over and over, and it is kinda jarring to the nerves after a while.

there aren't many cases of opioid dependencies that end well either, i mean just looking at the people i know. they either end up really fucked up, on some substitute like suboxone or methadone, or they end up being alcoholics.

Eh, I got severe scoliosis so they have a means. Just not when I take twice the dose to sit back and play games >_>. Im not a wreck or anything. I got a really good family which goes a long way in life. There are people with no addiction and still have a rougher life than me. Plus I don't really deserve pity when I do the things like I mention. Shit numbs out stress along with pain and its hard not to give yourself a break at the cost of future days sometimes

As I mentioned in my previous post I have a good support system plus I hate alcohol. Another drug that I hate the down/hangover enough to make it not seem like an option. I can't do meth or anything cause I have an obsession with not disappointing my family or hurting them. I keep my anger in check too. I have plenty of patience from being the youngest and only boy of 4 siblings.

I had some issues with Vicodin and percs like 10 years ago. I was taking a lot of them for fun. I was definitely hooked. I decided one day to stop cuz I was tired of how it made made. 10 years later and I still crave it and have urges sometimes (not often, but it does happen). Pain pill addiction is no joke. I've gotten them over the past 10 years a few times for various legit reasons and every time I get them it's a mix of excitement and fear of them. Damn things are trouble.

He means you become more tolerant to it. I have a steady prescription of vicodin because I'm a cancer patient, and at first I could really notice a difference. But the more you take it, the less your emotional state changes. It still takes the pain away, but it doesn't make me feel that much different anymore.

I remember when I first tried three vicodin at a time. I'd only ever done two at a time before and since. It was a bad experience. It didn't really make me feel good, it made me feel sick. I was incredibly dizzy, had this really steel taste in my mouth and stomach, and my head just felt really bad. Like I said, I haven't taken that many since.

what i was saying is that the diarrhea, shakes, depression, insomnia, rls from NOT having them gets more tolerable the more times you actually go through the process of withdrawal. i remember opiate withdrawal keeping me up at night and having terrible RLS, now if I'm ever in withdrawal I just want to sleep and eat junk food all day.
