Lol, people still use torrents?

I don't pirate, but there's been no need to torrent since at least 2005/2006.

Unless many people just don't know what I'm talking about.

Uh huh...

It's f***ing bulls***. I just can't even. The worst part is no one seems to mind. I in particular always drop my jaw in disbelief at people that regularly throw money away on things like Netflix, a service that's all about having something temporarily until it is removed, and this is something you're continuously paying for, to have the shows you watch eventually removed once the contract runs out.

It's still miles better being able to watch stuff whenever you want rather than watching TV, where you can only see shows at specific times on specific days. If you truly want to be able to watch something whenever you want, forever, then buy a DVD.

Companies should stop complaining about piracy tbh. They have no right to with all the anti-consumer policies they have like;

Regional blocking
Regional price gouging
DRM
Delayed release dates for certain regions
Day 1 dlc
On disk dlc
Demos arent released often anymore
Short single player campaigns
Etc etc

Until all these issues are fixed (they never will be), companies will never have the right to complain about piracy

"I can't pirate as easily now. Internet is ruined."

This is a discussion of illegal activities, aren't you gonna moderate this?

That's the thing isn't it, it seems a lot more non USA users will understand this issue especially when it comes to region locking.

Um... not really, do you even remember the endless popups and ugly website designs and colors (blue text on a green background WHY) and shit? No wonder the dot com bubble burst.

I'd say mid 2000s is the real sweet spot for the internet.
