Man, people suck. I do not envy anyone in retail at all.

It's no different from working in other top retailers. Low hours, shit pay, terrible management, etc.

My wife has been a Customer Service Manager there for 5 years. Most of her complaints are about her superiors' incompetence regarding scheduling coverage and her subordinates and peers calling out all the time.

Worked as a pharmacy technician. Walmart is easily among the best for pharmacy work. Enjoyed it better than my time as Walgreens.

Not at my store. Our nightshift people useless as shit. We change the mods ourselves, we stock in the morning, we arrange endcaps and features.

I work there. Was a year as a cashier and hated it (standing around and pretending to be busy sucked ass) so I transferred to the deli. Loved it for a bit because I always had something to work on and the shifts went by fast, but now there's a coworker there that I pissed off somehow and she's slowly been making it worse for me.

This describes me very well except its the daytime front end scheduling coverage that is the problem and I am an overnight CSM. Anytime a new schedule drops I personally print it and verify there is adequate coverage on every day. If there is not, I write in edits and turn it in to management. Normally they key in those changes because I know how many people we need up front on any given day.

Worked there during high school and college. Was alright for a job I gave zero fucks at and managed to avoid being known by any manager for over a year. I never got told to do anything and my department manager left a note of things he wanted done

I got them done in my first hour then pretty much hid the rest of the shift.

Started there in May to have a job to finish out college. I was told upon hiring that I would be allowed to transfer since I was planning to move back home after graduation. When I graduated in August and planned to transfer they all of a sudden said that you can only transfer after working for six months. I'm now jobless.

Yeah, seemed weird to me too. I was actually surprised they even gave me a breakdown of what my answers meant. Figured they'd just say "failed, next"
