Here's the thing I think most of the character are supposed to be tropes


Like meteroa is supposed to be a know it all info dump, because that's her purpose in the game.

The first few eps tried to make it look like they were averting the tropes, which i was liking.

But then they kept on churning and churning shit nonstop, giving 3 episodes for meteora info dump worse than your generic LN adaptation, cocktease us with a great action episode, and then 3 more episode of stupid infodump, and a fanservice episode which made no sense and i honestly didn't expect because i thought this was somewhat serious, and again, thought it would avert tropes..

Each episode got dumber than the next, i think the climax of stupidity was when they made eroge girl into a mix of chun-li and jam kuradoberi, and then i realize the writers were actually japing us all along...

Characters are borderline mentally ill, Stubborn knight from the get go saying lying girl is a lying piece of shit and not to believe her, yet she eats her shit about bootleg madoka dying to meteora, no questions asked?

Selesia looked like the strong female protag which i was also digging, but the moment her prince charming showed up she got moister than the Thames and suddenly lost all sense of self to the point of sacrificing herself because "pls guis dun fite"?.

Also from the start i ended up hating lying girl because she was actually written in a way that made you hate her, but they decided to make her a "good" person giving wimp MC the deus ex machina in the span of 2 eps?... I went from "i hate this character because she's written to be hated" to "this character is just stupid"

They even took 3 eps to set up the deus ex machina, which was so obvious it hurt to wait those episodes for it to kick in because lol anime tropes.

Also the "secret weapon" they bullshitted their way through last ep was laughable and pathetic...

Honestly, i actually had high hopes for this show at the beginning because the plot seemed interesting, and hiroyuki sawano was composing the soundtrack, now i'm just finishing it because i'm in too deep to quit...

tl;dr: This show is awful written garbage, don't waste your time.

I never thought of magame as evil for evil, I thought she was just in it for the lulz I mean she took a money bath.

I wouldn't even call that a fan service episode it was a hot spring scene in the middle of an episode

And i can't really comment on eroge girl cause I don't know enough about that culture to know if what they did would work in real life

I agree the pacing was kinda shit

The whole creators mini arc was cool, but it was some episodes even in that where nothing happened

Gonna save you the disappointment, there's none.

The mechas just show up, they explain who the character is, then never mention it again.

And the mecha itself barely shows and the other 2 last 1 episode before exploding.

Even if they were, the mech literally shows for half an episode on 2 episodes in a 20 something episode show, and the other 2 show up and explode on the same episode with barely no action shown..

Watched the first two episodes. I'm liking it a lot so far. Opening is great too. Same studio and director and mecha designer and Sawano who were behind Aldnoah Zero. This show has the same look too
