Does it count as "alien" if it's just a human with funny ridges on their forehead?

they are human and synthetic. That is why they could cross breed.

doesn't really prove they are human. aliens crossbreed with humans all the time in all sorts of fiction stories. they come from another planet. they are aliens

That is like saying that when humans colonize Mars they will become aliens. They are all still humans.

As much as I loved that show. The Aliens were just people in different costumes and it started to make me wonder why they never questioned how many Humans were populating the different planets.

Also, I don't think it counts though. The Asgard were clearly alien looking.

Because they were all originally from Earth. The Gauld seeded the galaxy with them before Earth rebeled against Ra.

I know but you'd think "Why do I only see humans? We've traveled across the galaxy to other parts of it.. I have yet to see a tentacle monster or some weird shit."

They saw the Gauld, the Nox, and that other thing that was in that cave thing with Thor's "hammer". Not to mention the Asgardians.

I'm surprised more stuff hasn't followed Event Horizon and gone with the really cosmic horror stuff. Space is pretty damn scary and there's no guarantee we'd be able to comprehend a lot of the stuff out there.

I suppose Dead Space sorta counts but I never played the third one.

They see all sorts of aliens. The Asgard and the Goa'uld are definitely the big ones. They also see those alien bugs that infest Teal'c, the gas giants in the crystal skull episode, the Unas, the killer fireflies, the living electric virus that took over Carter, etc. There were MANY non-humanoid aliens in Stargate SG-1.

sortof. ancient humans already existed when they got there though. in the final episode, you see some prehistoric people off in the distance. I can't remember if they ever introduce themselves on camera. but they do eventually, cause later it jumps ahead like a million years and you see modern day and they imply that one of the female characters on the show ended up being that common ancestor, Mitochondrial Eve that like every modern human today is related to. So they inserted themselves into our bloodline, but they weren't the start of it
