There's a microscopic chance the Dems will take both houses in 2018. That's probably the only way we see impeachment proceedings and a trial by the Senate. With Republicans in control the only way that happens is if he murders a high ranking Republican politician in broad daylight or something.

i know about him but unfortunately cases take time and sadly people such as The DACA Kids do not have an unlimited amount of time to wait for a case to conclude

their entire lives could be in the toilet and tossed away before Mueller is even halfway finished with the investigation

Does that matter? Won't the Republicans still have to vote to impeach? He could literally release a video of Trump fellating Putin and promising to give him the US East Coast and they wouldn't impeach.

We're never going to see impeachment. First, because it would encourage retaliatory impeachment attempts in the future. Second, because he hasn't done anything even close to warranting it.

Then they should have chosen to either stay in their home country (if they migrated) or filed to go back to their homeland sooner. That way they'd establish a life in a country where they had LEGAL residency instead of relying on mercy of lawmakers who acknowledge they shouldn't be here.

when he's threatening to deport Young People who know about no life outside the united states and have built a life of their own here

you cannot just simply say "That's Life but we gotta move on and continue"

when a president threatens to deport people who are being punished for being brought here illegally as children...people who likely do not speak anything except English and as such will be an outcast in the world they get deported to

you cannot just ignore it and go back to the paperwork on this case that won't help anyone because by the time you have enough evidence the lives you were seeking to protect won't be there anymore

what's the good of proving trump broke the law if during the time you are gathering evidence he's busy breaking stuff and leaving you with less to save...what good is the law if it's not gonna protect anyone in the now

Seems to me like even the Republicans are slowly getting sick of him (plus they have an election to win next year, so distancing themselves from Trumps might actually be their best move).

i doubt the republicans supporting trump even after he's fully in favor of deporting people to countries they have no attachment to(due to being brought here illegally as kids)would do them any favors in the public's eyes

imagine some guy in his mid 20's has a decent job working retail at target but suddenly gets deported because his parents brought him over here illegally from mexico

and now he goes from an okay gig at target to cleaning up after animals and being screamed at by some fat dude with a monobrow that he can't understand because his whole life was in the united states and he never bothered to learn spanish

Except you can and you should. The fact that the US has negligently allowed you to squat on its land instead of evicting you immediately like Canada might doesn't mean you shouldn't think long-term.

The claim about only speaking English is exaggerated since, even among legal immigrant families, most keep (and use) their native tongue. Even among SECOND-generation immigrants (ie, the ones who were *born* here rather than immigrating like these kids did), 85% speak at least some Spanish at home

http://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/bilingualism-persists-english-still-dominates

Among second-generation Hispanics, 92 percent speak English well or very well, even though 85 percent speak at least some Spanish at home. Eleven percent of Mexican second-generation children speak only English at home, compared to five percent in the first generation. However, for Puerto Ricans and Cubans, two other large Hispanic groups, over one-fourth of the second-generation are English monolinguals at 29 and 27 percent, respectively.

The problem was ignoring that they were illegally here in the first place. They should have been expelled much sooner. Think of this as trying to fix a mistake, though.

lolwut? You're a NEET with absolutely no knowledge or insight into social or political matters beyond what you read on social media. You're woefully misinformed or uninformed about virtually every issue you attempt to discuss, except for cereal. Perhaps that's why you want to grant amnesty to anybody who can sneak into this country while trying to write off anybody with more sense than that.

You're aware that many of these minors traveled themselves, right? You have to know that. In fact, DACA fucking encouraged it.

Where the fuck do you get your information from? I'm not sure how you can be so consistently wrong in every regard. Simply by pure chance, you'd have to be right about something.

He can get a job at one of the many tourist destinations in Mexico. Plenty of English speaking natives there and the tourist would probably have an easier time communicating with him.

And, if you actually wanted to help people -- which you don't -- then you'd be encouraging efforts to reform the nations that people are leaving from instead of grant citizenship to anybody violating the border. Then again, if you actually wanted to help in general, you could try getting a job and paying taxes.

Shouldn't he have lived long enough in the country by then to have a right to an American passport?
Just give up the one from his parents' country then and Trump cannot do anything.

Yes, English-speakers are a valuable commodity in majority-non-English-speaking nations. They'd simply need to refresh their old tongue and they'd probably do better than the native ESLs
