You have people in this country for 20 years, they've done a great job. They've done wonderfully. They've gone to school. They've gotten good marks. They're productive. Now we're supposed to send them out of the country? I don't believe in that.

I don't think Trump has a well founded idea on what the delineation between the roles of the executive branch and legislative branch should be.

It's more like he wants Congress to make it so he can claim that he still "loves the Dreamers", but have Sessions kill the executive order so that he can act as if he fulfilled a campaign promise.

Also there is no reason this needed to be removed while congress worked on something. If his true intent is to help these people why is he just getting on congress now? Why give them a 6 month window? If they don't reach an agreement (which they won't since many republicans don't want an agreement or new plan) does Trump just reinstitute his own version of DACA? I doubt he would...
