Stop creating sick creatures so they can be considered "pure-bred" one of the worst is Boxers. there is a very common defect in Boxers where as they age, they will contract a muscular disease that makes them slowly get paralyzed in their legs. it's horrible and I think boxers have like a 50% chance at least of having it. Breeders are supposed to do a dna test before breeding to see if the parents have it, and then not breed those dogs. so that the disease goes extinct. but they don't cause cause breeders want that puppy money, and they get away with it, cause the disease pops up years after the puppy is sold. my family has had 2 boxers and they both got it. the first is dead. 2nd one is slowing down and probably will be dead by this time next year. don't get pure bred Boxers. it's too risky. ... yeah well I don't think wolves have access to vets a warm home and food on demand. Also not to be eaten by your own pack Along with those life extending benefits comes the need to breed them into something that won't eat you if you're late with one of those meals. That's the point of selective breeding, to bring out desired traits or suppress undesired traits. You can't really do that with lifespan. By the time you realize a certain dog took longer to die it's too late to breed it. Even if you extensively bred it while it was alive you don't know which descendants it passed that trait to. It would take extensive record keeping over generations to see which dogs lived the longest and breed only their descendants. Which means you might already have 4 generations of another line before you realize their ancestor came up 2 years short for that litter. --- No locked doors, no windows barred. Well no, cause if you wait it's entire lifespan it would be dead. Or right before it beats the record, when its sexual organs don't work well. So basically there would be no way to speed that up, meaning it would take absolutely forever to breed an immortal dog. ... Copied to Clipboard!
