Completely blind, know nothing about it except it reviewed very well. So far, it seems like a heavy narrative game and a lot like a choose your own adventure. I hope there is actual combat though and it isn't all dialog choices that result in failure or success.

It was on sale for half off and I felt like playing a RPG. Anyone play it?

It's on sale right now, on Xbox at least, 50% off.

Hard as hell game but really enjoyed the writing. I don't think I got too far but the half dozen or so hours I put in were good with some very rough combat situations.

Early stages really reminds me of The Matrix a bit.

It is a good imo, but didnt live uo to torment.

Quest design and writing range from very good to mediocre, but majority is good.

Act 1 is good
Act 2 lame
Act 3 is fantastic

Tje combat though, suck balls at release. Balance is all over the place, enemy placement is bad and not well thought.

I dislike the pool system too, but overall it is pretty fun game.

Compared with torment, i think it lacks the coherent quality and vision of torment. Since it is probably bigger team, and different people work on a different part than torment, some part is bad, some part is good.

Enjoy!

Oh yeah,,classes are poorly balanced too content wise.

I guess the original planescape torment is guilty of this too, even moreso.

Nasicallt picking INT build chiper with mind read ability will get you the most out of the game

Same with planescape torment with being a mage and increasing wisdom int and willpower

I never played the original, and on the surface, this isn't like anything i've played. I may enjoy it overall due to uniqueness alone. We'll see as it progresses. Cool concept at the very least.

I see. It is quite cool, and the setting is enjoyable.

I think act 2 is really a drag. Basically, act 1 is in the city where you are now, act 2 have you visit different places. I think the problem is this. You jump from places to places, not yet able to enjoy the sense of place because you move fairly quickly. It is like act 3 of planescape torment in that sense.

Act 3 of numenera is fantastic though. One of the most interesting setting in videogames, cool characters and concept, and lots of fun quest and fun exploration.

Gives me reason to push through until the end, thanks for the inspiration.
