Birth By Sleep has an excellent story and fight mechanics but the Worlds have to be the second blandest in the series, first being Dream Drop Distance. There's just nothing there, with the exception of Deep Space.

Yeah, the worlds are pretty empty and I can see some of the things they did for the PSP version left over (ie: short draw distance in Castle of Dreams, almost no NPCs anywhere)

I always manage to grind to at least Lv10 in the first areas for Terra and Ven. Lv20 for Aqua.

Don't ask me how I have the patience, but it feels amazing to be so strong in the first world.

I'm only like level 2 because all the unversed only drop 1 exp >_> None of my command moves are past lvl 2 either. So is my only option to literally grind 1 exp enemies for a while?

Most likely. Fortunately, the early levels don't take much EXP to even level up, so it shouldn't take too long.

I said it in the last topic but use the Mickey D. link for grinding. iirc it doubles your exp gain so long as you're at low health. So you have to be a little safe but it does speed up the process.

Though, I'm not sure if that just means "get all Xehanort Reports" or "compete the journal."

idk, I don't like playing as him that much >_> He's quick, but he's so weak and takes forever to kill anything. Plus Fever Pitch kinda sucks and its way too inaccurate. Terra's Critical Impact is better

As far as unlocking the final chapter it's just get all of the reports, IIRC, because I did got it and I definitely didn't fill out the journal.

BBS is literally the only KH game I can't bring myself to platinum. I had a easier platinuming CoM of all games.

I mean, I'll eventually get around to it, but completing the journal and beating the same secret bosses three times, and as one character who's heavily fucked in terms of maneuverability, is not appealing - especially considering that I already hate the game enough as it is.

The only thing stopping me from KH1 and KH2 is the Gummi Ship stuff. They're just so mind-numbing.

The worst part of BbS was doing all the Disney Town minigames, to me.

ok, idk if I'm underleveled, but enemies take WAAAAAAAAY too much punishment right now. Even the basic flood enemies take 2-3 combos to kill and these totem pole enemies took over a minute of constant mashing and firaga, sonic blades, tornado blade, etc. too kill.

Am I underleveled and need to grind at a previous planet? >_> This is super tedious.

Use status spells. Things like Sleep, Ignite, and Zero Graviga are very helpful

Also, playing the command board helps to quickly level up the commands so you can fuse them together or whatever

Fans distinguish it by calling it the "x-blade."
