Earthquakes and some volcanoes along the west, Hawaii and Alaska. Blizzards along the north, east and Alaska. Tornados possible everywhere in the middle including parts of Colorado. Hurricanes in the south.

I think the only states that don't get anything potentially devastating are Nevada, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.

We have no worries about storms where I live and basically no earthquake worries... But we sure as hell have fires.

The people saying Pacific northwest do know that the Cascades include several active volcanoes, including Mt. Rainier, right?

North East. Occasional bad snow storm and people lose power. A few unfortunate people will that their homes destroyed by downed trees, but it's nothing compared to the complete devastation that is caused by flooding or tornadoes.

Granted it's far less than the deaths that can be caused by major Earthquakes, Hurricanes or Tornadoes, and many of them are the result of car accidents so if you just don't go out you'll be fine.

Hurricanes on the East (and the occasional Earthquake in Newfoundland)

I live in a safe little valley in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania. I'm high enough above sea level that I would stay dry if half of the ice caps melted, tornadoes really can't touch down here because the mountains fuck them up, the Appalachian mountains are old and settled so no earthquakes ever. Hurricanes can't touch me at all. The valley diverts snowstorms so we always have less snow here than on the other side of the mountain. Literally the only thing I've dealt with in my life here was a little snow and one time a tornado touched down for all of 5 seconds before it hit a mountain and died.

Tornados have only a small chance to hit you, even smaller chance for a powerful tornado that can actually cause damage beside tearing off some shingles and knocking over fences.

Only place in the US immune to disastrous natural events is the Southwest, but it's a desert, so that's kind of like a mild disaster every day in the summer.
