it's a shonen manga so we're talking at least 5, probably closer to 10 years until it's done. there are questions i wonder about right now that won't be answered until near the end of that, most likely.

Yup. And it'll probably start sucking at some point, but by then you'll be so invested that you'll keep reading/watching, like most shonen.

Jojo has it good by having each arc contained in its own adventure.
