Edit: The title was unintentionally vague; I am referring specifically to Magneto's mutant power. Not him simply picking up the Gauntlet.
I've tried to find this answer elsewhere but I can't find the answer. The Gauntlet appears to be gold, and gold is not magnetic; however just because it looks golden doesn't mean it is, and I can't find any sources on its material composition.
