I did this in my early 20s with some of the movies that I saw as a kid. "That movie couldn't have been as empty as I remember. No way. It must have been an edited-for-time TV version and they cut out all the good stuff."

I guess I was a bit of a slow learner but, no, Hollywood actually did release a couple of stinkers in which there was absolutely nothing going on. I mean, looking back, I see a pattern that I didn't notice back then: namely that these movies were for kids. But I couldn't believe -- and still can't believe -- that those movies were so lacking in content. It's not just that they were bad. It's that nothing really happened in any of them.

Not really, but I will sometimes watch something that's panned by everyone just to remind myself what really bad media looks like.
