If Apple made a phone that ran on human blood and drained a liter or so from the user daily, as well as draining spinal fluid to be able to use headphones and required a chip to be implanted in the brain that literally transferred every thought the user has to apple, and the starting price was $5k, it would be sold out a year before being even announced.

People would pay that price just to be able to take dem perfect selfies and to look cool in public

There's a 256GB version and it will be $1200. If you're already spending $1K I highly doubt you will skimp out and get the 64GB version.

This, especially considering most will do the 24 month 0% interest financing and it's just a few more dollars per month.

Apple's website is showing $999 when you pay in full. Price of the 256GB is jacked too, Apple is selling for $1149 while Best Buy is selling it at $1249. They know the supply on these are going to be severely limited until early next year so guessing they're trying to capitalize on the hype.
