I understand that they have other tables, so they can't wait on me and me alone, but make me feel more than welcomed! I used to frequent a sit down chain restaurant about 3 times a week (it was right by my work, and I'd stop in there for dinner) and I'd sit at the bar, and the bartender there was awesome. When he wasn't busy, he'd go around and just talk to everyone sitting at the bar. The long conversations about anything and everything we would have were great. Sometimes, if he saw me come in, he would have my beer of choice already there for me by the time I sat down. I loved that he'd remember what beer I drank. That's service!! The prices overall are comparable to what you will pay here for food and service as well. Like the video above says, we are keeping an antiquated system that benefits only restaurant owners.
