So, what have you been watching lately, be it movie, tv show or whatever? Say as little or as much as you desire. Bonus points if you'll put the name in bold, and/or rate it, and recommend something similar.

Also, please, recommend movies as well. A relative recently died and left me a huge dvd collection, so I might have it.

Me, I've been re-watching some things that I really liked.

There was A Christmas Horror Story:

It's a fun, dumb entertaining b-movie telling three christmas stories involving The Krampus. My fave involves Santa fighting zombies like he's Gandalf. Great payoffs to each story too. I especially like the Santa payoff, and William Shatner playing a radio broadcaster.

One of the best b-movies I've ever seen!

8/10

There was also The Fundamentals of Caring. This was the kind of movie that I needed I was younger. An ex-writer becomes a caregiver to an 18 year old with DMD, and takes him on an inspirational road trip, where they both learn to love themselves, and become each others best friends. Oh, and they both swear, a lot, and there's a lot of dark humor, and a lot of blunt truth, making it feel so much more genuine. Bonus points for the last few lines.

Nice to have an actual genuine feel good movie(Not enough of em out there.)

9/10

So, what have you been watching?

I see a couple episodes of Fresh off the Boat a couple days ago, seems funny.

This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.
If you take 110% of what I say seriously then you're gonna have a bad time.

*laughs*

Ok, bonus points for you.

More bonus points if you tell me what Showcase is.

I also binged watched a lot of shows lately. One of which was the Santa Clarita Diet.
Easily the best work of Drew Barrmore! You can tell that she had so much fun doing this role. She plays a newly turned zombie who has to decide who she'll eat to stay alive, while maintaining her job and her family! Bonus points for really going after corrupt the LAPD is, and just how hilariously larger than life this all is. And just how constantly funny this all is.

Ok, bonus points for you!

Another show I binged was The Defenders

The first 2 episodes were kinda eh, but the rest of the series had me on the edge of my seat. It's more of the same Netflx Marvel, but Netflix Marvel is like the coolest thing ever so who cares?!!!

Yeah, that's been on MY Netflix List for a while. Just gotta be in the mood to read subtitles.

Speaking of The Fundamentals of Caring, I also binged Atypical.
One of the most relatable shows I've ever seen. Thank you so much show for not making people with mental illnesses superpowers for once. Bonus points for actually making me want a next season of a show more than Orange is the New Black.

I have been watching Friends recently, and I'm loving it, like those people in those McDonald's commercials. The humor is enjoyable and most times the drama is interesting to watch. If it's not, though, then you can always enjoy the humorous sub-plots. I'm watching this over a decade late, but I still like it. But I do wish Nick would syndicate more episodes so that I can watch the entirety of the series. I mean, I could always buy the DVD of the series, but I worry that that would make me less willing to watch Friends on television. Anyway, I have no recommendations for you, unfortunately. :)

All good man.

Another movie I re-watched recently:

The Princess Bride

One of my faves! A classic laugh out loud hilarious medieval lighthearted comedy about farmboy and a beautiful girl. I don't want to give anything away, just trust me, it's amazing! Bonus points for "Anybody want a peanut?" and "Inconceivable!" and one of the most entertaining and again laugh out loud sword fights in the history of anything!

I cannot stress how much I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE this movie, (and dear god do I need to read the book already!) If you haven't watched this, make it the next movie you see, and bring your best friend with you. You will NOT be disappointed, trust me!

10/10

Still looking for recommendations btw.

Yeah, I put off watching it for ages, but ultimately wasn't turned off by the subtitles while starting it the other night (normally when I'm tired and trying to unwind, they're off the table). Even if you miss half of them, it's still enjoyable and easy enough to follow.

It triggers my ocd to miss the stuff.

Another movie I re-watched on DVD was Stardust. It's about medievil man needs to travel far to find a star to earn the hand of a woman, defined by her beauty. As you can tell from that, it starts off pretty bad, but it then becomes a great journey of self discovery, and growing the fuck up Bonus points for just how fucked up the villains are, and the character development of the main.

I rewatched the Sopranos and Spaced which were both excellent.

Watched Little Evil which was very good.

The Keepers and Daughters of Destiny on Netflix were both very interesting.

Thinking about watching The Wire for the first time. I saw one episode that was very good and think I would like the rest

Tv is hot right now imo.

Vice Principals just came back for season 2 last night on HBO. The first season was amazing, and the new season premiere was fantastic as well.

Also just saw the movie Baby Driver, which was just fucking perfect

It's a comedy show on HBO starring Danny McBride and Walton Goggins. Have you seen Eastbound and Down, with Danny McBride? You'd probably like this if you liked that.

Anyway, season 3 of Outlander just started so I've been watching that. I only wish it would have picked up where season 2 left on a cliffhanger.

I just finished watching the first two seasons of Into the Badlands(aMC) and it's pretty good. It has Matrix-like fight sequences. Season 2 has Nick Frost and he's hilarious as ever.

Ray Donovan is well in to season 5 and it's starting to pick up. I'm just getting tired of all the flashbacks of his dying wife.

Now I'm just looking forward to The Walking Dead, and especially Vikings. The trailer for Vikings looks amazing.

That's cause it's on a Premium cable channel. Personally I prefer this format as it means doing a LOT more with less. Kinda wish that Buffy and Angel were this way.
