Yeah Wikipedia is generally pretty great, I know a lot of people like to rip on it since anyone can edit articles but anytime I've seen people edit articles with stupid shit it gets switched pretty quickly after.

Depends on your own ability to verify quality information.

Generally speaking it's the first place I go when I just need some basic info real quick. But I still don't think it is a suitable source on it's own for a report or something. It's really easy to sabotage a page and people not notice unless they happen to be knowledgeable on the topic.

Yes, it is. It's not perfect, but it is great if you need to find a little bit on a topic. And even if you're doing more in-depth research, it's a great springboard to start from.

As long as you're not using it as a primary source for an academic paper, sure. If you need to verify, they usually have their sources listed.
