If I blindfolded you and had you taste a grilled piece of chicken and a piece of turkey, you'd be able to tell the difference easily. Therefore, meat does have taste.

Difference in texture not taste, and when I mention taste I'm obviously referring to what you've come to expect from a properly prepared meal. Yes, they have a taste but it certainly isn't enjoyable

You're moving goalposts. You originally said that it had no taste. Now that I proved you wrong you're changing the argument. Just admit that you're wrong and move on

Everything in moderation. To just remove something that is a necessary and intended part of a human being's diet is idiocy. Especially when it's not a medical thing and just out of some inane personal view nonsense.

The ones who do it for "animal rights" are a lost cause and delusional. There's many other activities in modern society that harm animals. They ignore it because there's only so much sacrificing of their lifestyle that they will tolerate. It's mostly virtue signaling or the shear ignorance regarding the impacts modern living has on animals.

The ones who won't eat any meat under any circumstances due to health concerns are taking it too far. It's all good and well to realize eating an excess amount of meat isn't good---but cutting out meat altogether is an extreme and they are missing out on many delicious delicacies.

But people can survive and thrive on a no meat diet so how is it necessary?

And why is a personal belief to not want to eat meat inane?

And? I doubt any vegan or vegetarian will boldly say that everything they do fits in with the philosophy of not harming animals. There's only so much a person can reasonably do or want to do. They would view eating meat as one thing that they can do though. And that's perfectly fine. Any little amount helps. It's not an all or nothing choice

There are some good deals on frozen veggies and they add sauce to them for around $1.50 and you just throw the bag in the microwave. On the protein side I eat alot of processed beef and chicken and eat unsalted peanuts. I figure the frozen veggies balance things for the colon and fill me up.

I can accept that argument. Though I will say many who claim to be very dedicated to the cause are putting their inconvenience threshold to a minimal. Certainly not all, though. But quite a few.

There's no need to feel bad for someone that is making their own decision.

That being said, I went vegan in March and had my first actual cheeseburger today. It was just a $5 fast casual burger but it was really damn good. Probs gonna start eating a cheat meal every month or two from now on.
