Its a 2012 Toyota Camry LE white. It has high mileage at 122K. I drove it. Feels good. Shifts good. Just a couple of dings but nothing big. I'm paying $5700. Good deal?

Probably not with that high mileage. Did you take it to a mechanic?

If the owner didn't maintain the car well previously the engine will be towards the end of its lifespan. And it's only a 2012 with 122k already so they did some heavy driving in 5 years. If the owner maintained the car well you probably won't have an issue but that's why you'd need to have a mechanic check it over.

Yeah the mileage is high. But the price is so good. I figured even if I wreck it I'd get more then the $5700 i'm paying for it. I don't like high mileage either. But this 2007 Camry I drove had 140K miles on it and it was 5400 bucks. So why not get the newer one?

That's some high mileage. I got a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 14k miles last year for $11k.

I don't see why you wouldn't take it to a mechanic to make sure everything under the hood and in the engine is fine with mileage like that. Is it a private sale or dealer? Most dealers have no issue letting you do that.

Private. She was cool about everything tho. In fact she still owes on the car. I'm sure everything is fine with it.

Take it to someone you trust and who knows their shit. My cousin bought a used car that she though was good, but once it started having problems she brought it to my dad who is really good with cars and he told her she should have never bought it cuz it was terrible.

Same thing happened with a family friend except hers literally caught on fire. But then she bought it off some guy on craigslist who then deleted every single form of contact he gave out after selling the car to her. So it shouldn't be that bad.

Point is, something small that the lady had no idea about could be wrong in it that would fuck it all up. Price seems pretty good but make 100% sure with someone who knows their shit.
