Board 8 > Wickle's Type Challenge begins!

I asked the game, and Bane had me start on Soul Silver. I rolled the type... and it gave me Steel.

What this means, is I'll play each of HGSS and B2W2, one of each game depending on my mood and availability of Pokemon, I may move on to the 3DS ones if things work out in the end. Problem with this typing, however... is availability. The first time I can catch something that'll become Steel is after I get ahold of Headbutt, and it'll be Pineco->Forretress.

Why I'm making this a board topic, I don't know... But it's Pokemon and I feel like actually showing up on the board. Someone pick my useless starter that probably kills the first gym since I definitely don't want to solo it with Pineco or grind to level 31 before the first gym.

Also, feel free to sign up to become... Well, any type eventually. I don't want claims put on Pokemon, and I'll catch them as I see fit, naming them may make me a bit more obliged to hang onto them rather than dismiss them.

Journey begins, I, Wickle have set out. Mom gives me a bag, a trainer card, a way to save my game, and options. Didn't realize mom broke the fourth wall. I walk out to get a Marill running into me, bitch ass Marill. Talked to the girl in town, she likes mah bag. I'm sure she'd like my package too.

Anyway, talked to Professor Elm and picked out my Cyndaquil, named it Bane since NFUN told me to. I'm sure he'll appreciate it, though sadly Bane will only exist until I can get my first Pokemon that'd end up being a Steel Type. Maybe he'll stay around being a Cut bot until I have something better for that though.

Started leaving and two people decided to stop me, first the assistant to give me potions, then Lyra to tell me to talk to Bane and my mom too. Mom gave me my Pokegear and I tried to get that one girl in town's number, it didn't work, got Elm's number instead.

Defeated two Hoothoots as it's nighttime, in case that wasn't obvious, but more importantly... Got the running shoes!

I'll do this post, and won't post again until something major has occurred, but felt like posting for now. Also, I won't comment on levels until it's the actual Pokemon that will be used, so not Bane my Cyndaquil that may or may not become a Quilava.

Honestly, it's not running quite well, and I'm pretty sure the only Steel Pokemon I can get before the E4 are like...

Magnemite is Route 38, Skarmory is Route 45, Trash Wormadam (specific stuff), Forretress (headbutting trees).

Bronzor has a chance to be found in Slowpoke Well? Well... that's cool I guess?

So 5 guys... Kind of my fault for randomizing that, but I think I'd rather try a game I can get a full team before E4... I'll check if that's possible with Steel. /shrug

Yup, I'll actually cancel this from being in HGSS and head into B2W2 instead.

I'll probably also lock this topic when I wake up tomorrow and make a new one (this time with it being a little more obvious from the title) to represent the next game. Sorry about failing out, I don't intend to quit on that game, it's just this one feels so lack luster considering it's tough to get a Steel-type before even the third or fourth gym here.

Regardless, doesn't seem like much changes between the two, so I'll ask this. B2 or W2? One side can actually get me Registeel if I want 'im.
