Avatar is the most overrated movie of all time. Stellar CGI for the time but the actual substance, or lack thereof, is garbage and there's nothing remotely interesting about the movie.

Not remotely excited, but I'll give them a try if they get good word of mouth.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Avatar was big in 2009, 2010, and 2011 but now in 2017 most people couldn't care less about that film.

JC missed the time to really capitalize on the series, way too much time has passed for this to become as popular as it was.

Nah. Story should have ended with that Bio-USB soul transfer in planet USB.
I was expecting more movies of the other Avatar. What happened to Earth and Fire books?

There is "would've", "should've" and "could've".

Never saw the first one but I was under the assumption it was really good. It's surprising to hear so many people here criticize it.

It was complete garbage. Imagine a Dances With Wolves ripoff in space, where you hope they kill the indians

Not excited, but I might go see them in theater or once it's out on dvd. Only saw the first one once, in theaters, it was good but not good enough to warrant me watching it again once the home versions were out.

I legitimately can't remember the names of anyone or anything from the first movie aside from "unobtanium"

It was an objectively well done movie that essentially just retold a plot that's been done to death. So, it was cool and all to watch one, but nothing to write home about (other than the fact it had amazing CGI). It certainly doesn't deserve to be despised and thought of as absolute garbage by the internet, but we know how extreme internet likes and dislikes have to be....

Anyway, that said, no plans on watching a sequel and I actually forgot that was still going on since the first one came out 600 years ago.
