PS3 phat 80GB keeps YLoD. I want to get reballed (sp?) but don't have a service available near by. Thinking about picking up a Slim.

Cuz why not? There must be plenty of fantastic games I can still play for cheap right? And I bet the online is still active.

Part of the fun of new games is participating in the community and the excitement that comes with discovering new things. Last gen games have great value, but you completely lose out on the communal aspect of it.

I love my PS3 Slim. Like the size and top slider tray. PSN Flash sales all the time on PS3 games to fill it's HDD up with.

That's the reason why I only buy online multiplayer games at full price. Never single player because can wait until the price drops.

Because then you'd have to wait to play games you might want to play now.

It's obviously better value to wait for things to drop in price but it also means you're behind on the currents trends (even if that's a good thing sometimes).

I buy games from older gens all the time but I also buy full-priced games I don't want to wait on.
