I totally didn't realize the match was over!

Okay so there are a few discrepancies I have with the score and item usage from what I gathered:

In Post #84, Eaed used a green shell on "whoever was in front of him", but both Tom and LostEd were tied at that point, so I'm not sure who get's hit there. It doesn't really matter, though, because it ultimately doesn't effect the outcome.

However, on Post #101, Tom used a Blue Shell, and at the time Emerald and Myself were tied. Does it hit us both in that situation? If yes, then it also doesn't matter, but if not then it effects the rest of the item usage and the result.

To both keep the suspense and show how we got here, I have here a tally every 10 posts after post #39 (the last accurate count that was done):

Post #39: 3 0 2 2 3
Drivers 1-5 here had quite a battle! Before #39, Driver 4 (that's tom, going from left to right), pressed his A button just at the right time, while everyone else spun out. Huge lead at first, but brought back down.

Post #50: 2 0 3 4 7
You can see by post 50, driver 5 (That's david) rode a golden shroom to race out in front, but would it cost him by making him a big target?

Post #60: 0 -1 4 2 6
David is still out in front, but driver 3 (that's Emerald, me) has made up some ground, while Tom has fallen back due to an unfortunate lightning storm. Feeling under the weather, Tom?

Post #70: 0 -2 5 2 7
Not really much change, Emerald and David are pulling away from the field, but we know how this goes in mario kart. Losing is winning, good sirs!

LOSING IS WINNING, GOOD SIRS! Emerald barely gets in front of David, and it increasingly looks like a 2 man race!

Non-emerald-and-david drivers still got it tough but they still managed to close the gap on emerald "hit himself with his own green shell" egg, and david "got lost in yoshi valley" ponte! It's the FINAL LAP! Can the 2 frontrunners recover in time!?

Holy moly, Tom makes great use of his items and makes a late surge past David to get right on the tail of Emerald! However, Emerald is able to weave back and forth to keep david from drafting him, and a late star (Somehow gotten while in first place? Maybe this copy of the game is bugged) allows him to cross the finish line first!!
