We want 10 years experience on something that's only a few years old.

Is this seriously what america has come to?

And that's mostly to defraud the system to get a H1B Visa, by claiming that they can't find workers in the US who meet those qualifications so they need to look outside the US. It's a complete scam. Supposedly Jeff Sessions is against those kinds of exploitations, but I can't recall hearing him do anything.

This happens. I remember seeing something about 10 years of experience with a programming language created after 2010.

I've heard from a programmer/hacker who's been in the scene his entire life that the people who make those lists are playing telephone with real teams of programmers.

They hear what the teams "would like" and they write it down as required because they have no clue what they're talking about.

The actual teams take what they can get because there aren't enough programmers to begin with.

That doesn't sound particularly true

If we kick out the illegals, a $15 minimum wage would be feasible. Everyone would work for that entry fee. Jobs will fill up. Some jobs won't be able to make ends meet -- they should submit their balance sheets to the gov and the gov should give tax write offs to their workers so their workers can make the same after-tax as they would if they were making $15 so there's no loss on the worker's pay but the businesses can effectively pay less to their workers.

I'm more than happy to make sure fellow United Statesians make cash. Not gonna bother as long as a bunch of illegals are in the country, though.
