YYH was written in the early 90s man, things were different! I don't know what Umineko's excuse was, except that it took place in the 80s? Perhaps grabbing your cousin's breasts was nostalgic for people.

All right, I finished the two DGS2-2 videos! It's good to see Naruhodo and Holmes in action together again. The fact that we'll never get to play those "deduction" sequences makes me sad. Also, Susato continues to be the best.

It's okay. I had a dream about SMFFFC the other day, so people having dreams about Board 8 doesn't surprise me. Replaying Mass Effect 3 sounds like something I'd do, but stealing brownies doesn't sound like me. I have oddly strong convictions about stealing food (Think "Friends" and JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD). Probably an only child and single guy thing, but I have a strong sense of possession and letting people have what belongs to them.

Anyway, in Skies of Arcadia news, Green Moon Crystal get! Rixis was a shorter dungeon than I remembered, but it makes sense considering you're essentially doing back to back dungeons paired with Moon Stone Mountain. Fighting De Loco again and taking down Grendel is such a satisfying pair of ship battles. There's a pretty huge gap between this and getting the next crystal, if I recall correctly, so we'll be in for a much longer Skies of Arcadia session next time. Pretty sure one of my favorite moments in the game is coming up soon, too.

But before that, it's back to Trails FC!

I have! It's pretty great. Stopped when I hit the halfway point but now that it's over I gotta get back to it.

Keiko is more important because the beginning more slice of life aspects are expanded upon (or more accurately cut from the anime).

Speaking of SMFFFC and Mass Effect, I'm thinking of doing a ranking project once SMFFFC is over, probably user-nominated video games. Last time I did this, I bought Mass Effect for Janus because he did the best job of guessing the top 25 characters on the list. I'll probably do something similar again because it's fun and because it actually gets people to participate, so maybe Janus can win Mass Effect 2 next time...!

De Loco is pretty fun. Might be my favorite admiral (him or Belleza).

Man, I just realized how lopsided these Skies arcs are going to be if it's by moon crystals - so much stuff happens before you get the blue one, and then the purple/yellow ones are both really quick.

I did start playing ME, although I haven't done much lately. I'd just finished the stuff on the Citadel and landed on Noveria.

Noveria's a pretty cool place, although I think it might be the toughest of the three initial major missions available to you after the Citadel. I'd definitely recommend getting Liara first before doing Noveria for plot reasons. I think the series will flow a lot faster for you if you can ever get to Virmire, which is where ME1 (and the series in general) really takes off and never looks back.

And yeah, it's not really balanced to play Skies of Arcadia from crystal to crystal, but there aren't any clear delineations like in Trails FC. I guess if I were trying to balance out play time per session, I'd probably stop after Daccat's Island next time or I guess I could consider getting the Red and Green Crystals back from Valua when you get the Delphinus a crystal acquirement...!

Made it to Manoria Village in Trails FC. I think the Black Notebook sidequest in Bose before you leave was something I missed on my first time through. I didn't remember that. I definitely remember doing the TOP SECRET lighthouse sidequest on the way to Manoria though because that lighthouse attendant dude is an utterly unforgettable NPC.

Watched a couple episodes of YYH. Now Yusuke is an Ace Spirit Detective, and I know the gender of the character with the magenta hair now. I honestly couldn't tell just from the OP.

Anyway, I made it to Ruan in Trails FC, which means I've met Kloe, so that's very exciting. Matron Theresa is also a really good NPC. Anyway, I thought Joshua/Kloe was a natural pairing. I probably wouldn't have thought that if they didn't make Estelle and Joshua siblings at the beginning, and there's been no real "shiptease" between them at this point. Even as I replayed it tonight knowing how it plays out, I found myself thinking again it would've been a good match.

Yeah I was referring to a male character from Hunter x Hunter who both looks like a girl and is voiced by the most feminine Japanese voice actor I know of. (Don't think you've seen anything with her though unless you watched the subbed version of either Angel Beats or Psycho Pass)

DRV3 Case 3 beated. Didn't get very far into Chapter 4.

mainly because these past few days i keep waking up with awful headaches that are borderline, if not actually, migraines

it is the worst and part of the reason i've largely dropped off the map. still have one right now but i really don't have much choice but to try and power through it

I've suffered from frequent headaches ever since I was a kid, so in a way I'm "used" to them, but these ones lately have been different. Pain is up a notch, nothing that usually works for me dealing with "regular" headaches has any effect (like taking a quick nap to try and stop it), and it comes with nausea/chills/etc.

Glad you haven't experienced any though, they're terrible. =(

Yeah I actually don't like this because it makes him sounds like a stuffy older guy, when he sounds much more effeminate and young like he's supposed to in Japanese. His disposition IS more that of an older person of course, but I like his voice belying that.

I heard. I'd been lurking it (or rather never bothered to make an account there) because it was always great at finding and aggregating gaming info from anywhere, no matter how obscure. It's actually where I heard about the Full Metal Panic news (before all this happened apparently!) and because of its meltdown (which I only learned why later) is why I couldn't give you any more detail than that!

Sounds nuts though. I mean, you always hope those kind of things aren't true, but yikes, it doesn't seem to be looking good.

Yeah, I'd heard it had been delayed from Fall 2017 to Spring 2018, although I didn't realize there was a trailer. Man, the animation looks so good. Based on that trailer, it definitely looks like they're picking up where Second Raid left off instead of this being a reboot, which is great news.

It also means I need to get back to reading the books, I guess.

Ok I already posted about this in the anime topic, but I just want to say today I watched A Silent Voice and it was amazing. Highly recommended to...well...pretty much any fan of drama anime.

I admit I never really got his taste pinned down, but this feels to me like it might be a Jeff Zero movie actually. Not that he'll ever read this topic to see that though :(

Anyway, been busy doing stuff all around Ruan in Trails FC tonight. I think Ruan might be my favorite of Liberl's five major cities. This chapter in general is excellent, too. It has a claim to the best one in the game. Also, I claimed all the treasures in Sapphirl Tower, which required like four monster chest fights, but man, the enemies there drop a crapton of sepith.

also we might as well call this chapter "Tools in the Sky" because it introduces both Gilbert and Dunan

Ruan is best town, but I feel like the story content in FC pretty much only gets better as it goes on. I do love Jenis Royal Academy though. Also if I remember right this is where we got a pretty big chunk of the Estelle/Joshua development, so that's also great.

Really I just love everything about this series.

The school festival is full of Estelle/Joshua/Kloe goodness, and it's really the first time Estelle is made aware that she might actually feel something for Joshua other than filial affection.
