like, how people think MLP or steven universe is a "good" show?

basically i guess i'm asking if this is an actual good game, or a game tender boys, like nade, would gush over as being the greatest thing ever?

It is a good game. It's an upgraded Harvest Moon, if you like those kind of games. Easy and enjoyable to get into.

i really hate the art style. it kinda ruins it for me. most of it is fine tho gameplay wise.

in general im not a fan of it. also some of the portraits of the characters look a bit awkward to me.

Like it or not, it's huge accomplishment that the game was made solely by one guy, who worked tirelessly for 4 years developing it. He did everything; gameplay, coding, music, art, and writing.

I played it and enjoyed it for a while, but got bored well before most people did it seems.

It is definitely in a niche that isn't going to appeal to everyone regardless of how well it is done. If someone doesn't like Harvest Moon style games then they probably aren't to like Stardew Valley either.

if you have it on ps4 you can get mods that change the character portraits according to my step sister who loves the game.

I've read about Concerned Ape. He worked on it a few years. He has also made some changes according to what people have asked for. He is letting Chucklefish (?) Work on the multiplayer part.

The game is pretty cool with a lot of surprises along the way.

It's one of those games that if you like it, you like it a lot, if you don't, it's not a big deal.

It's Harvest Moon but on steroids, if you like those games then you'll love this.

Personally I don't since I'm more into Rune Factory.
