Is your paranoia about something that isn't likely to happen really worth thousands of lives? I think that anyone who honestly believes it is, is an ass hole.

The problem with that argument is that you're equating deaths as only occurring if guns were present which, as we've seen, is clearly not the case.

Likewise, the problem with your suicide argument is the fact that victims would gravitate towards methods which harm *other* people in the absence of guns, such as jumping off things, driving their car off things, carbon monoxide poisoning, etc. If somebody is going to kill themselves, would you rather have just one victim or multiple?
