I've also noticed that in general women tend to be againt their self interests when it comes to safety. Look at what's happening to parts of Europe that are receiving high immigration from parts of the world that have very patriarchal societies and often treat women like second hand citizens. The women of Europe are in favor of more of this kind of immigration while the men are against it.
