apparently I'm the first person on TT to finish Windjammers. I had been looking forward to playing this game ever since Giant Bomb starting playing it on their livestreams years ago. I finally got to play the arcade version earlier this year at PAX South and was all over the PSN release once it hit.

This was a fairly tough platinum and for once not because of the online. Yes there are online trophies, but turns out I was better at Windjammers than I was expecting. The online is pretty much already dead though so it was hard to get a match but I ended up finding enough people to take down.

The true challenge came from trying to beat Arcade mode on Hard. The AI plays pretty much perfectly and you have to learn not only how to play well, but how to be able to exploit the AI's tendencies and pretty much put together 6 winning games in a row with only 1 continue available. I ended up playing arcade on hard like 45 minutes to an hour every day since release and eventually got it yesterday. I don't think I would be exaggerating to say it was the toughest gaming related challenge I've done all year.

Anyway this platinum entails the following:

- Scoring 100 of every type of Super Shot
- Winning a match scoring only 5 point goals
- Having 5 consecutive super reversal volleys
- Winning 10 ranked matches in a row
- Winning 100 ranked matches
- Slide 10,00 times
- Scoring with every character
- Completing arcade with every character
- Completing arcade on all difficulties

The rest pretty much come with achieving those. If you haven't played Windjammers yet I recommend checking it out. It scratches the same itch for me that fighting games do. I tried playing Disc Jam, but felt it wasn't really for me. Windjammers is the true flying disk game.
