Board 8 > How do you talk to nerds on online chat in games now?

Back when XBL came out, everyone talked, and it was a blast.

I haven't heard people talk on a mic in what seems like 5 years despite playing multiplayer games.

So, I don't even know how people talk online anymore.

I recently learned that Xbox One has a LFG tab for games. So, I been trying to find a group for a NF or Raid in Destiny 2. I don't know how to respond to the posts though? Do I just say "inv plz?" like WoW... or is there some universal cool way to say you are interested now to nerds online?

What do I say to get invited???

Tbh I think things like XBL are reasons why people don't use mics much anymore. Too many people going on and screaming obscenities.

I don't play a whole lot of online multiplayer but like in Overwatch, there's very rarely people on mics, and if there is, it's only like 1 or 2. Although I have noticed if one person's on mic, sometimes other people will join in, but nobody wants to be the first to get on mic and sit there talking to themselves. And then still you'll get some people coming along and screaming and ruining it for everyone

Don't know much about raiding, so can't really help out there. When I play Destiny 2 it's just on a fireteam with my clan (made up of a couple irl friends on mics)

So the raid leader was 261 and had no idea what to do... never could get a group more than 4 due to being low level... we failed the very first section and the raid quit. lol

My first experience going online and talking to randoms was a child yelling at me about how bad I sucked. I get that that's an outlier, but eh, I've just avoided it ever since.
