I bet you don't even know that Aquaman is not even fully human. He's half Atlantean. Don't say dumb stuff when you don't know what you are talking about.

Still bummed out what we never got a John Stewart GL film. It would have finally given them an excuse to cast that Idris Elba everybody keeps wanting, assuming Elba could find enough time given his 2-episode seasons of shows.

I think if we're going to get technical, Martian Manhunter and old school Lobo are up there in the Superman tier.

Aquaman would probably slot in at about Cyborg Superman's tier and that's mostly a quirk of his Atlantean physiology that puts him at 700ish pounds and able to breathe well below crush depth and shit.

Superman sucked in Justice League.

There's batman being a badass, wonderwoman doing a good job at not getting shot with her little bracelets, manhunter is killing fifty things at once by possessing them, and superman is biting off more than he can chew and being completely useless.

Batman makes one mistake and he's dead.

Granted, but that's essentially Batman's entire life story from the second Martha's Pearls hit the pavement, onward.

actually I was going to compare aquaman more to WW's strength level they've both beaten each other at times and in this cartoon series seemed on pretty equal footing for the fight until aquaman took it underwater. superman's strength can fluctuate though people seem to forget that. he basically absorbs and expends solar energy which causes his strength to fluctuate.

though under water is aquaman's home turf and hes capable of doing much more damage there, so by that notion fighting most super powered humans on land he has that disadvantage, hes basically nerfed at least a little

It's a reference to the stupidly short seasons of his hit BBC tv show, Luther. The last season, the shortest by far, was only 2 episodes long.

Given that Wonder Woman's physical durability was portrayed as being almost on par with Superman's at times in the cartoon, I'm not sure why she bothered blocking bullets at all.

Otherwise, I kinda suspect that Superman could have knocked out some of problems that the rest of the JLU was spending weeks trying to fix in just a couple of hours, but let them have their victories as a confidence builder so they'd be more effective when he actually needed them.

While Aquaman was strong in the cartoon, he was nowhere near Superman's level. I'm not as sure about comics Aquaman -- who can regenerate, etc -- but I suspect it's the same. When Superman usually fights other heroes, he doesn't go all out which is why he doesn't just quickly finish them with his heat vision.

wish I had that image of this mock up comic showing superman asking her why she did that while they where both being shot at. she quit for a second and the bullets started bouncing off her tits which caused them to bounce, the criminals started giggling and wonder woman just glared at superman to which he replied "noted" or something along those lines

thanks thats the one

but to clarify I think it was said wonder woman's invulnerability only really matched supermans when it came to blunt force. sharp objects if hitting her with enough force could still penetrate/impale her

Huh, so he's in that show Luther. I think I may or may not have heard of that show. Is it anything like the BBC's Sherlock in terms of quality? I saw the first 2 seasons of that show and loved it.

It's kinda hard to compare the two since Sherlock is a lot lighter-hearted and incorporates a lot of humor, whereas Luther is more serious in nature. Luther is pretty decent, although it starts off a bit rocky particularly the first episode.

Season 1 in general has a slightly different tone from the rest of the seasons, since it's the longest season (although it's *still* just 6 episodes) and, while each episode features a different villain, there's a stronger running continuity between episodes. The seasons afterward are 2-4 episodes long and each case is a 2-parter. The villains are also more colorful and interesting, from Punisher-style vigilantes to eccentric serial killers who hide in peoples' homes before finally killing them.

Also, when comparing the two shows, there's really very little mystery in Luther. Sherlock has some whodunnit episodes where suspects are interviewed and you're trying to find out the guilty party at the same time as the detective. Luther you kinda know who did it (or, at least, you see the culprits masked or otherwise) and the rest of the show is about bringing that person to justice

Cool, might check out a few episodes if I find it online.
