I'm late on this but the fuck? Nobody chastised you or even thought of you for any of those, unless you mean for saving the randos instead but even then. Like for Auron specifically that was like a barrel and I thing and I wanted to have anyone save him but it ended up not being the case. Like I don't think anyone gave you any thought for that case.

If this were true then Lopen as well as Inviso wouldn't comment on the "random" FFX stuff they deemed stupid. They quite specifically blamed these demises on X having too much weak bloat, but that implies that I should be saving that stuff. How else would it be because of things few others ever save?

I don't think saying X had a lot of weak bloat implies anything.

You don't have to save anyone you don't want to, but the bloat does draw saves away from the statistically stronger characters.

But that's part of the fun.

It doesn't have the whole repeating everything four times thing so it's instantly better just for that. Overall the story is weaker since the new boss characters aren't very good compared to the original, but the gameplay is pretty much the same. I like Magnolia and Yew better than Agnes and Ringabel, so all the many scenes with the party interacting were overall more enjoyable too.

Like I mean Auron Locke and Jecht. Anyone who thinks I actually care about those characters in these contests has not paid any attention to my saving habits whatsoever.

There are definitely things I care about in this contest. Those guys losing early is more funny than anything though.

Well there are times where commenting is clearly backed by some amount of self investment

And there are times when it's not and only people who want to baselessly cry butthurt or hypocrite try to force the issue

Not sure what the majority of yours are, but anyone who pays attention to how closely I follow this contest and what I save knows trying to claim it for me in this contest (thus far-- maybe something will actually upset me later) is the latter.

Honestly Relm being picked over Locke is the only one that was pretty bad (I don't even think Lopen commented on Auron other than "lolAuron")

but what was even worse was when Roba campaigned for Eiko the round that Dagger was eliminated, and she's higher on his list of favorites.
