You do know Toriyama isn't really in charge of the manga right? He writes up an outline of how each arc will go and gives a copy to Toei (The anime) and another copy to Toyotaro (Manga) and they fill in the details. There is no real true canon version.

Yes, however, from what I read in translated interviews and such, Toyotaro seems to consult a lot with Toriyama, while the anime team, in my opinion, just gets the outline and decides to do whatever the fuck in between.

That said, the second episode was dope af.
