If I said that not all of his brain is functioning properly, he'd ask for a source with statistics about his brain and then he would tell me that he'll wait. I agree that modern marriages are often female centric. Men bottle their feels usually. They dont voice their needs as much as females do, but it doesnt mean their needs are nonexistent. It doesnt help that the media tends to portray men like simpletons who just need beer and sex. They need to feel supported, respected, and appreciated. Just as much as women. They dont necessarily need to have those things shown to them the same way women want to see them either.

All of the other categories have gone up outside of spouse.

I'd say the biggest thing to take away from all of this is that we wait longer to marry. Look at how many people lived with their unmarried partner in 1975. Less than 1%. Now it's close to 10%. That alone closes a large gap in the stats when it comes to people living with their partner.

Yes, a lot of what you said is true for many couples. My friends are like that, and I feel sorry for them. But this is why it's important for you, as an example, to really get to know the woman you might consider staying with. I'm with a woman who does not boss me around at all and I have never felt that I had to be subservient, but we had that understanding from the very start. There are a lot of good women out there, so I don't doubt that you can find the right one.
