I do like most of the actual Chinese food. Note that China has a lot of different regions with a lot of different kitchens. Calling it Chinese food is like calling Italian, French, Spanish etc. European food.
I don't really like what Chinese restaurants sell in western counties. But it depends a lot on the country they sell it. They adjusted it to that countries taste. In my country Chinese food means deep fried meat with sugary sauce. That's not for me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

no. can't stand the stuff cept maybe some of their chicken and even then its my lowest opinion on any chicken dish. I dislike most noodle based dishes that aren't tomato sauce based, or mac and cheese. and I just dislike the way asian food does veggies.

I enjoy Americanized Chinese food every now and then. I really like some actual Chinese food as well but a great deal is totally unapproachable to me. Stuff like congealed blood, chicken feet (which are both unappealing and seem really pointless to eat moreso than just being too gross), and sea cucumber I just don't want to take the effort to try and learn to enjoy.

I am addicted to Chinese Food. I can barely go a ten days without it.
I actually just finished making Mongolian Beef. Also lol at anyone that nasally says "well you know thats not authentic chinese food". You think I want to eat peasant food? chicken feet (which are both unappealing and seem really pointless to eat moreso than just being too gross) They're actually not that bad, I first tried them as a young kid specifically because of the "gross-out" factor of them. There's not really any meat on them, but the spicy sauce they cook them in is pretty good --- "I'm the straightest guy on this board. I'm so straight that I watch gay porn." - Smarkil ... I just looked up some popular American Chinese foods.
Those are almost 100% different than what is considered Chinese food in my country (which is the netherlands). I do know some of the dishes (and some are good) but you can't order that in "Chinese" restaurants here. Chinese restaurants here serve Indonesian food, sometimes also Japanese food, and some made up local traditions usually involving lots of deep fried meat. (with a lot of sugar and MSG and some ginger to make it taste Chinese). Foreigners are often (mostly pleasantly) surprised by the Dutch Chinese food. Except if it's a low quality place, there's a huge difference between places. I've had beef tongue and chicken heart and stuff and they taste like beef and chicken respectively. I love good Chinese food. Sichuan-style braised pork belly is amazing.
To be fair, at the place I like to go to, their kitchen is run by a guy who was born in the Sichuan province and trained at the Sichuan Institute of Higher Cuisine, so it's pretty authentic and he knows what he's doing. The Sichuan poached fish is also really good and completely unlike anything I've ever had at an Americanized Chinese restaurant. ... Copied to Clipboard!
