Vetoes are almost 100% bullshit and this is no exception. If you and the other person both agreed to that trade, there's no business getting it vetoed.

Send out a message to the league and retrade. That's a completely legitimate trade. If your leaguemates veto again, then find a new league next year.

While I think it would be unethical for a commissioner to push through a trade to avoid the veto period, I am against 99% of vetoes (obvious collusion being the only exception).

That said, yeah you are in a league with a bunch of douches. They all have sour grapes because you're in first place and trying to make your team better, and they know their teams suck and won't get better themselves, so the best thing they can do is veto everything you do.

Either way, again send a message out about why people are vetoing. Call people out all at once with a mass message, or text everyone individually and ask "did you veto this, and if so, why?"

What are the veto settings and number of teams out of curiosity?

Probably default Yahoo settings, but i don't know how many it takes to veto.

Needed a kicker and defense for this week and don't want to leave the Jaguars defense or Zuerlein out there to be picked up. Plan to grab Clay again after, if no one else scoops him up.

Don't feel like it's a bad lineup, just a feeling I'm going to lose. I could easily see this group winning. I am tied for first in my league with one other guy at 5-2 and 4 others are only back 1 game. It's a standard 10 man league.

I would go with Snead. I dropped Bryant for JuJu. I have Michael Thomas but he is a little banged up so I would think Snead would pick up some of the slack.

I ended up doing Juju because he was available as a FA right now, whereas Snead was just dropped and a waiver claim wouldn't have cleared until Saturday (and I'm in first place so my priority is dead last).

Figure someone would've swooped up JuJu by saturday given how widespread the Bryant news is.

And I have the Rams and the Seahawks defenses. And while people claim its not good to have two defenses, I think its silly not to. You simply play based on the matchup.

Some years I keep two defenses and some years I pick up and drop every week. I think if you have two good defenses, not only does it give you options but also it prevents someone else from picking them up.

So I hate kickers and so does my opponent. I'm tempted to ask if he'll agree to sit kickers this game. I have Will Lutz and he has Justin Tucker so its probably even. I could also throw D/ST into it. I have the Raven D/ST and he has the Chiefs. Think I should do it?

And is that collusion?

I actually asked someone else the same question earlier this year because both our kickers were on bye (he refused the offer). I personally wouldn't consider it collusion, but I might be biased because I tried the exact same situation.

The way I see it is this - it's not collusion because the guy you ask can easily go against you at the last second and pick up a kicker and put one into the lineup. Nothing is assured. You're taking a big risk by playing down a player.

I do think it is silly in your situation because even though you both agree, the league has kickers and that's just how it is. Gotta play full strength and hope it works out.

I've got two kickers and defenses for this week too. I'll be dropping the Eagles kicker and the Steelers defense after this week though, and get back to Jaguars defense and Zuerlein. I made a mistake dropping McKinnon and I hope I can get him back next week, but I'm in first, so I doubt I'll get him unfortunately.

7-1.. things are looking good.

There are two other 7-1 teams and the one guy is clearly going to win the points battle. He has Zeke and Kareem Hunt just destroying for him.

But I have favorable matchups for the entire playoffs. I absolutely need Matt Ryan to start playing like he did last year but its not looking like hes going to. I may need to look into another qb.

D: Telvin Smith (put in Reshad Jones who I picked up this week since JAX was on Bye)

I've actually lost 2 games this year surprisingly, sitting at 6-2. Outscoring all other teams by about 140 total points over the first 8 weeks combined.
