Chemistry Teacher Windy Pappas was ESCORTED off campus for Kneeling AND holding a Black Lives Matter sign when she protested the national anthem during a school assembly...she is now on paid administrative leave!!

She held 2 signs during her protest that said "Black Lives Matter" and "It's OK to disagree with every sign here" during a rally for homecoming week at Woodland High School

She said "I felt like it was something respectful and supportive to our flag. I didn't even think of it as a protest. I was taken off-guard by the reaction"

The assembly continued as Windy said she wasn't aware that she had upset people that day.

A staff member approached her and walked her to her car to escort her off campus..it was then she learned that she was put on leave while an investigation was put in place..but she returned to school the following Tuesday

Windy said "It's unnerving. I'm a single mom and that's something i'm thinking about right now".

The school said "As a District, we're using this as a learning opportunity to ensure we are all aware of the free speech rights of students and employees. While teachers do retain certain 1st Amendment rights in their capacity as an instructor, such rights are limited by Education Code and case law. Their personal, political or religious beliefs are not appropiately expressed at school"

Well, even though I think people who get offended over people kneeling during the anthem are total snowflakes, I do understand the decision on the grounds of teachers keeping their political views out of things.

She's a heifer but you're not calling her one. Why?! Why, Ducky, why?! Whatever happened to responsible journalism?

At any rate, she's a teacher so she has no right doing that shit on the job. The only shame is that it's a paid vacation.
