"You know, am I mad at God? Yeah, I'm mad at him," O'Reilly said on the latest episode of his web series, "No Spin News." "I wish I had more protection. I wish this stuff didn't happen. I can't explain it to you. Yeah, I'm mad at him."

Stupid old god making me harass women

"If I die tomorrow and I get an opportunity, I'll say, 'Why'd you guys work me over like that? Didn't [you] know my children were going to be punished? And they're innocent,'" he said.

No, admitting that he was influenced by the devil would mean that he still did something bad. Blaming it on Gd means that he can say "well you might think it was bad, but it's part of His greater plan, and who are we to question that?"

Pretty much, even if it is in an effort to tilt the scales towards equality.

Also important to note is that 84 percent of whites believe discrimination exists against racial and ethnic minorities in America today.

Not exactly the most agreeable thing to say, but when I was in college I applied for a university job. The people there liked my excel knowledge, thought I interviewed well, but didn't get the position. A couple months later the person (friend) who got me the interview later stated to me that I didn't get that job because they already have a man in a very similar role, and wanted a woman for that position. I was pretty pissed because I thought they wasted my time because of it. Not exactly white/black, but more or less the same concept. Assuming he was telling me the truth, which maybe he was not.

The hiring process of any job, for any person, is kinda discrimination already so it doesn't surprise me if people in general no matter what race/age/gender/etc think they are being discriminated against.

Here's a fun bit of music history:

For a very long time, orchestras had very few women in them. This wasn't due to any lack of musical skill - anyone who's heard Rachel Barton Pine or Jacqueline du Pr (or who's ever heard the tragic history of Clara Wieck Schumann) knows that women can perform music as well as any man. Now of course there were social forces at work prior to the 20th century that explained why female musicians rarely performed in public, but even well into the 1900s there just weren't very many women in high-profile positions (especially the big-name orchestras of the world).

Then, a few decades ago, orchestras started implementing blind auditions - wherein the judges sit behind a curtain or screen so that they can't see the musician auditioning but they can hear them play. As an added measure, these blind auditions usually take place in carpeted rooms (so that it's harder to determine what kind of shoes the musician is wearing based on the sound of their footsteps).

The result of this? Dramatically higher rates of women playing in orchestras. The current theory is that most of the audition judges were men, and they (consciously or subconsciously) favored auditions played by men while thinking less of auditions played by women. Once the judges could no longer easily determine what music was being played by whom, the gender gap essentially disappeared (because there's no inherent talent gap between the sexes).

What does that have to with anything I posted? I'm not saying women don't get discriminated against. But for that particular instance, i was discriminated against because i was male. Thus, i can see why other men, or whites, or whatever group you think can't be discriminated against can obviously be.

Isn't it sad that lightweight Senator Bob Corker, who couldn't get re-elected in the Great State of Tennessee, will now fight Tax Cuts plus!

That risks upsetting Trump's cult though. Basically they're stuck between a rock and a hard place. They have two choices at this moment:

A. Impeach Trump, put Pence in office--and then get more done. (And probably fuck the country over WAY more) but at the cost of making Trump supporters rabid and wanting their blood.

OR

B. Suck it up, make a few statements that vaguely criticize the president without going so far as to upset his base, and hope their voters replace the older generation who's numbers are starting to dwindle.

Seeing as doing B won't upset the evangelical base, or their old rich people base... they'll easily choose B. At least until Trump does something even they can't defend. (which isn't much, honestly. It's a very short list)

I mean, Corker and Flake both essentially blew up their Senate career. Both knew in order to avoid a primary challenge they'd need to make comments supporting Trump and basically toe the line. They didn't, both have made huge public challenges to Trump, questioned his authority, questioned his ability to serve, and tore into him personally.

You can be upset they aren't doing more I suppose, or that more of their colleagues aren't joining in but this is a lot more than "making a few vague statements". Two Republican senators knowingly sunk any chance they had at reelection to oppose the president of their own party.

Yes. It is about a teacher who calls on Black Women first. Black Men Second. Minorities third. White women 4th. And if she has to white men last.

She says she does this as to implement diversity but what it actually does is just suppress opinions from White students specifically. Which is a discrimination by race.

This stuff happens in ways so much nowadays in ways that are justified to those doing it as right. Affirmative Action for the longest time was a mockery as it did what it supposedly was there in action against.

Thay said, do I personally feel I have been discriminated against? Not really. I have seen preferential treatment in the work force to other races than my own. But, at the end of the day, I have never felt discriminated against. I am just pointing out there is reasons why someone would feel that way being white though.

If your work is lax on an African-American calling off past the limit because he threatens to call NAACP, and a White man is fired when he went past that same limit.

Is it discrimination? I mean technically no because he did what was clearly written was fireable. Does it appear to be discrimination to him though if you did not do the same for the African-American Man? Preference can lead to feels of being discriminated.

Well, they let Sleepy over there miss 15 days because he threatened to call the NAACP and I missed 7 days and was fired. How the fuck does that make sense? It is a mentality.

These scenarios DO exist in workplaces also.
