Over the years I've had people assume (separately) that I am:

- Black
- Extremely obese
- Over 40

I take it you're not a middle aged fat black person?

I once said I was 57 and some guy said it was cool I was that old and on here. Though that was just me fucking around and someone believing it.

That sort of thing is actually where the part about me being black came from. As I recall, I never actually claimed to be black, but I made a topic like "Would you believe me if I said I was black?" and then much later a few people were like "Wait, aren't you black?"

that i'm fat just cause I argued just cause a person is fat doesn't mean they can't be good at fighting. or something like that.

edit: also to add that I got questioned by same person if I was a smokemasstrees alt.

this one dude used to flirt with me all the time because he thought i was lorekai and he never stuck around long enough for me to correct him, so he'd just come back and do the same thing

Well, it's hard to say how much of it are inaccurate assumptions as opposed to how much is believed because of the malicious lies circulated by manipulative trolls.

The most outrageously stupid complaint I've heard recently from several people is, in fact, based on a claim that one poster has repeatedly tried to spread: That I somehow do anything for attention. This is despite the fact that, among PotD's active regulars, I post *very* few topics -- here or elsewhere. In fact, since 2013, Gamefaqs lists my activity as follows:

That means that topics account for less than 2% of my posts. That's the OPPOSITE of looking for attention, which would involve a high number of topics relative to the number of replies in topics. Compare that to other posters who might post several topics a day, many of which are devoted to themselves. Likewise, if I wanted attention, why would I bother ignoring anybody? After all, those trolls pay the most attention.

Otherwise, because the board tends to skew strongly to the hard-left -- where Bernie is insisted to be a moderate -- I'm often accused of being conservative or, even more erroneously, a Republican (liberal vs conservative is a matter of opinion, but political parties have definite affiliations so that claim is patently false). However, EVERY major test that's been floated around this board has given me the same result: I'm a left-leaning centrist



I no longer have the political compass test results but, when I pasted them, they showed me slightly left of center and somewhat towards libertarianism (as opposed to authoritarianism)

Which, of course, is kind of a general trend since I'm naturally inclined towards balance:


For the most part, any "conservative leanings" are either actually libertarian in nature (the political compass test had me a third way or thereabouts in that direction (as opposed to authoritarian)) or counterbalanced by liberal leanings. Or it's based solely on my objection to SJWism.

Oh, plus there's that silly last word thing. Honestly, a last word doesn't matter if nobody sees it so there's no logic to that claim. There's a lot of stuff where -- after a break in the conversation -- it takes a while to get back to, partly because it'll show up lower in notifications, partly because I forgot about it, and sometimes because I don't feel like dealing with that atm. Eventually I figure I should probably check it and, when I respond, I don't *want* to be the final word because there almost always claims I want addressed.

And, of course, in other cases I just think of something later.

Inaccurate assumptions about my age aren't exclusive to PotD. Even when I made this account in 2002, people assumed I was in my 50s or 60s. People generally assume I'm considerably older than them. Probably because I'm sooooo mature >_>

Pretty sure most people don't think about me all that much beyond what I post. Think I'm in a lower tier of posters here. Known to some, but sort of under-the-radar.

lmao lmao If you actually believe that, you're either so far left as to not recognize the spectrum or you're ignorant about Bernie Sanders. Probably both. However, keep in mind that Bernie lost *decisively* to Hillary in the primaries which means you're not even in touch with the pulse of the Democrats, let alone the country.
