By the way, you can get a ton of customization materials by unlocking the ability Bribe and paying enemies a ton of money to give you stuff. You'll need to look up (or ask us) what enemies give what for how much, and the enemies that drop tons of cash are really annoying to fight.

One of the things a lot of people do is keep Rikku's HP at her default level, give everyone the Overdrive builder that builds your meter based on your allies taking damage, and use Overdrive to AP weapons.

the thing that made me retreat from this area earlier is this thing that I can only describe as "Meat Walls"

they had like 30k+ HP and I couldn't even kill one of them.

Hmm, maybe Demonolith's? Did they counter attack with Pharoah's Curse (I think that's what it's called), which hits you with some status effects? Those things are annoying as fuck.

The only thing I don't like about Lulu's weapon is that it doesn't have Sensor on it

I usually put it on her so I know what spells to use

Use provoke on the Malboro's.

Demonoliths suck. After a bit of levelling you can usually take them down easily enough though.

Most of the rest are easy enough to survive. But I would stick close to the save point if you are just using it to level up or catch monsters.

Whenever I was leveling (or even hunting) in the Omega Ruins, I always had Auron with his celestial weapon equipped. Great Malboros always ambush, so Auron could always use flee if that was the case. If it was anything else, you could just flip his sword in battle. Sure you lose his action at that point, but I'll take that as opposed to accidentally losing a bunch of progress because of a piece of shit bad breath ambush.

Here, I want you to try something. Give Auron and Tidus their Celestial Weapons, go the Arena, and choose like a fucking Behemoth or something to fight. Let them use regular attacks on it, then make your third party member kill them. Win the fight, have a rematch, then make them regular attack it again.
