Even though the sign wasn't even visible from where the cop spotted me and the speed limit before was 55.

It wasn't til I got over and got stopped that I ever saw a sign for a 45.

If unposted, it's either 25 or 55, depending on the area.

once upon a time some asshole tailgated me with his brights on max when i was going 10mph over posted limit

so i sped up to get past the people in the middle lane and got over

guy pulls behind me still on my bumper. i roll my eyes, then the police lights come on. "oh."

officer: "I see you were going 21mph over the posted limit. You know that's reckless driving?"

turns out he was just screening anyone he could to see if they were driving drunk as firefly had just let out. he gave me a warning and went on to tailgate someone else immediately after

Speed trapped. That sounds like an area in Florida where I used to live. It's 55 for a good bit and then you go over a small hill and it turns to 45. You don't see the sign until you're over the hill and already into the zone.

Tbh a speed limits zone should be between where the sign is posted and where the next speed limit sign is posted. <_< that way when you see it, you can slow down to the speed and be going it as you pass it

If this is true, then fight it. You might be able to have it reduced to whatever he punishment would be for going 4 over instead of 14.

If it happens again call 911 and report an aggressive driver and see what happens. I admit I have no idea what the results will be I just want to find out.

I got a ticket a few months ago from one of those fucking redlight cameras for making a right on red.............with the sign that says you can make rights on red in the corner. I was so pissed when I opened the mail that day.
