it's november.
a few things are known already. Dell's preliminary ad, for example. it's never impressive so eh. Costco's initial read was more interesting. http://www.costcoholidaysavingsbook.com/holidaysavings/2017?pg=25#pg25 $100 Google Play card for $83 is pretty great and the PS4 stuff is neat: vanilla PS4 (Slim) for <$200 and the standard holiday bundle looks to be Destiny 2 + COD: WW2 for $300 (still Slim). also rather interesting to see <$200 chromebooks that are touchscreen with 4GB RAM. decent ones are finally getting into cheap enough turf. though a standard PS4 is currently best at Kohl's, who are also doing an online push this year finally. https://www.bfads.net/stores/kohls/ads/black-friday ...standouts there includes a $200 PS4 but it also has $60 Kohl's cash. there have also been a few random sales going on that are steeper than usual. gamestop's PS+ for $40 led into Amazon doing the same thing, for example. https://www.amazon.com/Year-PlayStation-Plus-Membership-Digital/dp/B004RMK5QG/ under 3 weeks to go. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. ... I've already got gifts for others planned out. That Kohl's PS4 deal is enticing as I want a PS4 and could use that Kohl Cash for clothing gifts. I also kind of want a PS4 Pro though.

I've been tasked with getting my dad a reasonable laptop for $200-$300 this year. I'm sure anything I get will be just fine, but I still want to get the best one I can. Those Costco ones look meh.

Costco had 70"4k TVs for under $1000 last year, so it'll be interesting to see what they do this year.
