Finished it just now, playing on Xbox One.

Pros:
- Gameplay is mostly fine, although some of the inputs, like side-stepping can be a little laggy.
- Game's fun. Reason I finished it one day.
- Avatar stages are a great addition and have the most replayability, as you need multiple Wispons to get all the red rings.
- A huge amount of 'parts' for your custom character to unlock. Like, hundreds of parts for each category.
- Load times are great, especially for restarts. Super snappy.
- Fast-paced. There's not a huge amount of cutscenes (28) and there's no hub world to run around in, so you literally go immediately from one mission to another. Downside is that the game is kinda short because of it, but it's a lot cheaper than a full priced game too (was for me anyhow).
- Music is awesome.

Cons:
- Classic Sonic levels are a bit simple. And Classic Sonic himself seems completely shoehorned in.
- Game is super easy, even on 'hard'. Would repeatedly get S ranks on levels where I had died multiple times. With the exception of the final boss, but that was more frustrating than challenging and just not very fun to play. Only level I got a C on first time. Even the unlockable 'challenge' levels aren't a problem.
- Died in a few areas where cluttered backgrounds make it difficult to tell what can and can't be stepped on.
- If you die without hitting a checkpoint, the game puts you back to the start, but doesn't reset your timer, so you need to manually reset each time after it loads you back in to put the timer back to zero.
- Because the focus is on the Sonics/Avatar, everyone else seems kinda surplus. Like, Knuckles is there asking you (apparently some scrub who just signed up) to go break into the Death Egg and stuff.
- Story is super weak. Which would be fine if they weren't trying to go for this big epic with all the Sonic characters new and old coming together. It's like they wanted to emulate the drama and suspense of everything being on the line, but whilst retaining the status quo for the next game and the result is that nothing had any impact and the entire story felt completely incidental throughout. Doesn't help that two of the main characters are mute either.
- *ENDING SPOILERS* No Super Sonic.

Game's about a 6 or 7/10. If you liked Generations, you'll like this, if you didn't, you won't. It's a shame, because it doesn't feel rushed or sloppy or anything like that, it feels like Sonic Team really tried their best with it, it's just that their best isn't very good. Even more so when you consider that someone else put out a better Sonic game in the same year.

I actually don't know! Despite earning them, I can't actually see what the achievements are as they're not technically live yet. I know that there are a shit-ton of missions to do though, so if one of the achivements/trophies is do all of them, then no. Super, super grindy.

Are there any Yakuza tie in parts? I saw the Persona 5 tie in and immediately thought they should also have Kiryu's suit and Majima's jacket and eyepatch. I mean it's a Sega series too!

For all its faults, I think I actually prefer StH's story. At least we learnt about Shadow's origin a bit more. Forces is just another 'villain of the week' story.

Nope. Think it might be too fresh. I was hoping they'd bring in some more badguys, like Solaris or Black Doom, but no such luck.

I'm actually replaying levels for the bonus stuff now. So much more enjoyable with the radio turned off. Don't have to hear the peanut gallery the whole level and can just listen to the music. Fun learning the levels too, although honestly, the number rings and moon rings feel so tacked on.

Can't say I've recognised any. There are some pretty cool clothes though, like a Mega Drive bodysuit and pretty sure you can get everyone's shoes. And there's a Bruce Lee yellow jumpsuit. Still got a bunch to unlock though.

7 species, three heads for each with eight different eyes, then you pick skin, eye and fur (and beak) colour. Three voices for each gender and 10 poses with a few different for each gender. Everything else comes from the clothes.

For clothes, you can choose upper head, middle head and lower head accessories, gloves, shoe, bodysuits and torso. And then there are seven different Wispons.
