Captain America has been pretty useless in all of the movies. He even had to duck and cower from a normal goon with a gun in the first Avengers.

Captain America is like the weakest avenger in the movies, only seeming to win because he's the main character. Loses street fights to random goons and such

Captain America is only useless under Joss Whedon. The Russo Brothers more or less made him the Marvel equivalent of Batman.

Comics Thor is planet level. Movie Thor is city level (as for what he can destroy). Speed is huge too as is durability. BUT, most of the strong people are nerfed too.
