I automatically think the first is the best as it was something new and fresh however Origins has quickly shot into second place and a close one at that. It's not without it's flaws sure but I think this is the most character development they have gave a Assassins Creed protagonist, the world feels alive, the game has a lot to do in it, the graphics are great but most importantly I'm not bored of it.

I find it hard to pick flaws with the game that I didn't already have with the series but I can list many things I welcome as a improvement. Persona 5 is my game of the year but AC surprisingly comes a close second.

They have clearly taken a lot from the Witcher 3 so, although not as good if you like Witcher 3 then you'll like this.

Yeah I know a lot of folk hype Ezio and sure he was a good protagonist but I honestly couldn't tell you much about him as a person, his family, his likes and dislikes and so on. With Bayek it's a different story and one I'll probably remember. Quality over quantity tbf. Although with that said Origins is supposed to be the start of a new trilogy the last I heard so who knows.

imo black flag is when that series fell off a bit. it's hard to explain but a lot about that game literally made it feel like it was just milking the IP for as much as it had.

unity was a good game once they fixed the bugs, but being so buggy at launch was pretty inexcusable so i get why nobody cared about it. i never played rogue

Ive put over a dozen hours into it and Id rank it among the best. Top 5, for sure.

Really like the changes to the combat, and the loot drops. Theres a TON of quests, and while a lot of them are your typical go from A to B fetch quests, they do a decent job mixing them up and keeping things interesting.

I was commenting on the quality of a ubi game.
Youre right I havent played origins. But considering Unity was not worth more than ten buck, and syndicate after that was not any better. I think Ill be just fine waiting.

My personal recommendation: If you don't wanna risk Combat with more than 3 people at once, because Annoying Archers shooting you while you're fighting, Become a stealthy Archer, and ABUSE YOUR BOW, I actually find it rather fun to creep around, and wait for the right moment to shoot someone in the head with an Arrow and one shot them, especially since you can set your arrow on Fire for more damage.

Also, advancing the time to night can help, cause some enemies will actually GO TO SLEEP CAUSE IT'S NIGHT, making it SOMEWHAT easier to sneak around, especially with Senu helping you keep track of enemies.

Though IMO, Hunting Bow is best for the stealth kills, I really don't like any of the other bows, except maybe that precision one, But overall, I am loving this game more than any other AC game, It's the first AC game I WANT to do everything I possibly can in it.

Black Flag is the best one I have played, I liked 2 and Brotherhood as well

3 was a total dumpster fire, the whole game I was actually rooting for the villain because he was a more compelling character and the protagonist was a potato. Haven't bothered playing one since 4 because it seemed like Unity was such a pile of butt.

I basically consider it Skyrim in the Assassin's Creed universe.

The thing that amazes me is that not only is it a huge open world, but it is a huge open world with a ton of stuff to do. Like I could spend 3 hours in one section of the map doing nothing but clearing out locations and doing side quests. And there are around 20 - 30 of these sections. Plus you have the main story which will take you about 10 - 12 hours to complete. Then you can start the end game content after like 80 - 100 hours. For a game series that was once known for being short with little content, that is insane.

The nice thing is that even though you need to spend a lot of time farming for weapons, money, and supplies it remains fun the whole time. It never feels all that repetitive, as the missions are pretty unique.

Yeah Unity had a rough launch, but it wasn't as terrible as people made it out to be. Once it got patched it was a fairly straightforward AC game, so for anyone who likes Assassin's Creed, it can be fun.

Same as you, I got burned out so it took me a while to finish Syndicate but I did eventually finish it. It was good. Liked it better than Unity, but Syndicate is probably one of my least favorite games in the series. Wasn't a fan of either of the twins as a protagonist. They just weren't likable imo.

Yeah I mean I've still got a lot of the map covered in fog but so far the game is massive and varied in it's environments. I also enjoy the wildlife.

I'm inclined to agree. It was fun to play for a few minutes, but it got really old, really fast. The awesomeness that was AC2 basically saved the series.

Yep. Always have been. The only time the modern day stuff was good was with the Desmond stuff so I've kinda lost interest.

I am only halfway through but so far the modern day stuff has been pretty light.

I would say less then 4 but slightly more (if not on par with) Syndicate.

I'm about 25-30 hours in and have only been out of the animus two or three times i think? It has always been my least favorite part of these games I would enjoy them so much more if they just completely wiped that stuff out of the game.

Thinking about it more, it is probably comparable Brotherhood, maybe less. Basically you can walk around outside the animus and collect things but nowhere near as much as 3 or 4. I think I have so far only spent about half an hour outside the animus. I don't know if it goes much more then that yet.

honestly i don't know what the point of leaving the animus was in that part.

i guess to just show you it was there? it's literally get out, collect a bottle of something, and get back in.

i did take the time to read through the computer, though, but it was real boring.
