I keep seeing this dumb ad that says this

Women can buy all the condoms they want commercial. Nobody cares

Exactly. They can hold all sorts of things, so useful.

Shit, this health clinic gave me condoms when I was 8 simply because I asked for them.

The story really isn't that hard to believe.

1) cashiers really dont care what you buy

Incorrect. They care if it's something that requires I'D. Also they are people and people are judgemental by nature.

JunkoEnoshima posted...
2) what kind of store has you verbally ask the cashier for items

Many stores have behind the counter items. Mostly alcohol, smoking products and aftershave/perfume from the places I've been in but it's not out of the question to have other items back there.

damn not doubting you but i've never seen a store keep the booze behind the counter. and I personally know a girl who shoplifted the shit all the time. but I guess she was a rarity as to why they never bothered.

I can remember when cough meds started going behind the counter though because of shoplifters.

Usually spirits sit behind the counter, cheap shit stays in the fridges.

not doubting ya, but its definitely not this way here. here the highest percentage booze in normal stores you can get is 14%.(that i've seen anyways) you have to go to a ABC store for shit like whiskey/vodka etc. but even there the stuff is just on the shelves for you to grab. biggest flaw to that system is the ABC store isn't opened on sundays and closes by 9 on normal nights. and all because its a government ran store. when I applied to work at one I actually had to go to the town hall for the interview

Do they at least have security tags on some of the booze?

yup. good ol southern USA. it would be a lot more good if religion kept its nose out of most things though.

neither of those items fall under that category

Now I have a hard time believing you. Granted, grocery stores keep them in the isles, but every convenience store I have been to keeps them behind the counter with the tobacco products.

It's really not that difficult to have a good conversation with me so "exhausting" seems a stretch. The rest you're right about though. I mean I do like Arctic and one of the reasons is because we have more things in common than I do with the average PotD user.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Tonight I learned an interesting fact about you.
I can write perfect script on an Etch A Sketch.
That's a weird fact about me. :-)

Nice!
Etch A Sketch are great. I bought one around a year ago for my Nephew(he was 7 at the time) and the memories of using them as a kid came back to me so fast. I think I spent more time using it then he did. :p

It's funny because I can't draw anything on it. I can only use it to write.

My youngest nephews are now 9 and 12.
They're been playing Skyrim in our house, with me making potions for them ever since the little guy was 5.
When they visit for the weekend we spend the whole time in our pajamas eating chocolate chip pancakes and Lucky Charms playing video games and bullshitting.

Lucky Charms

I haven't had these in years but they were so good. Now we have to pay a lot for a box as some stores import them. Not sure why they stopped selling them over here as a regular product. I mean sure they are full of sugar but many cereal is so idk.

Damn that sucks. I got a 25 oz box at Walmart for $4. I figure with how quickly the boys eat it, it makes sense. Lol

I end up being woken up at 7 to be The Pancake Wench anyway though, but they like to eat it as a snack.

I knew winter was. but America is pretty big and each state has its own laws. so I didn't know if it was like that other states. I mean I went to Tennessee this past summer to visit my best friend whom I hadn't seen in years, and my favorite alcoholic beverage while the stores had it, had reduced alcohol content due to state laws. pissed me off cause they charged roughly the same for it.
