The new Crash Badnicoot Triology. Maybe my refresh rate is too low on my TV but I was so bad at it that my wife said it was probably best I didn't play it anymore it made me too mad lol

Winter Voices was an amazing indie Steam game but it was so glitchy and unbalanced that I can't recommend it to anyone. I spent every battle begging the game not to become unwinnable and I'm still amazed that I managed to beat it

then power through it, and if you need to run back to Save Rooms or you just need to avoid random battles completely once you're in trouble (since it's easy enough to do in P5), then do that and you'll be good to go from there

I just lost a match in culdcept revolt because after reaching the goal but before landing on a checkpoint I rolled short and landed on a big toll space.

then on the next turn landed on an even bigger toll. so one of the other players ended up getting double the necessary amount of goal points and winning.

pretty funny.

Nah man. Palace 3 may seem scarce in Save Points but it is actually not since the whole area is very closely tied together and backtracking is made easy with shortcuts.

I guess I can see someone struggling with Palace 5 since that is the point of game where you are required to cover a wide variety of Personas to not struggle against enemies with certain strengths and weaknesses. Even then if you have played P3 or any other SMT game these kinds of things are necessary from the start.

I love P5 like crazy and it is one of my favorite games of all time but it is probably the easiest game I've played, made by Atlus. I can certainly see that it caters to casuals.

By the way this is not a knock on TC and me saying I rule at games because I don't. I have my fair share of video game genres that I absolutely suck at (hello there FPSes and Racing games).

It is just strange to hear someone say P5 is hard in any way shape or form after I thought to myself while playing the game, "I absolutley love this game but damn did they tone down the difficulty even more than P4Golden like that was even possible"

Shortcuts or not, there are still way fewer Safe Rooms in Palace 3 than other Palaces. The fact that you can backtrack more easily if you want to doesn't really negate the point.

don't the enemies all respawn if you go back to a save room though? I barely have the SP to get through this leg once, much less twice

I could come back another day I guess but I want to make more progress than that on my first run.

And it's not HARD per se. I've died a few times this leg and they're all due to dumb mistakes I made, but it's just discouraging when that's an hour and a half of progress you lose

For SP issues get the Doctor confidant up and eventually you can buy stuff from her that helps, but don't do it until she gives you the discount. Can't remember the rank.

Granted that probably won't help now, but for future reference!

The game makes it easy to avoid enemies though if you don't want to fight, so just avoid random encounters until you get to the next Safe Room.

What I did in Palace 3 was get in a battle with High Pixies and let them put me to sleep, then every turn you're asleep you get like 15-20 SP recovery. The battle is close to a safe room too so you can go back and respawn it

I couldn't handle this game during that outrageous part after a party with a giant tank. And then I said this game is incredibly flawed and said screw it. Is that the level?

Anyway, League of Legends for me. Because you're wasting no less than 30 minutes of your time each time you get a troll or a terrible or uncooperative player on your team. It's the only game I know that you are actively incapable of quitting without being punished for that amount of time.

That was almost every mission in Valkyria Chronicles. It's a game of 'what BS strategy do I need to use to remove all difficulty this time?'. Without those BS strategies, the missions were almost literally impossible.

I enjoy the game, I enjoy the idea of it. But my god, that mission is such a giant fuck you. I looked it up online and you're just supposed to sneak behind it and spam assault rifle to destroy it on the weak point. How in the world is anyone supposed to reasonably figure that out?

The one tank level where you had to climb on top of it and toss the grenades in it was super annoying too. Mostly because I didn't know exactly how or from where you had to do it. It took a while for me to realize you had to climb on top. And even after climbing on top and trying to grenade it, it still didn't work. So I was lost for a while before I just tried it again and it worked this time, inconceivably.

Wish there was more of a reason to try out all the characters too. You get a ton of them but none of them have a personality except for maybe 7.

The most discouraging part though was that I checked to see how much more of the game I had and I wasn't even halfway through.

Etrian Odysseys fit this bill when you're going fine, then a single blindsided encounter either instantly kills most/all of your party, and/or leaves every living party member with debilitating status effects before you can even move. I remember in the third game, this can happen as early as the 6th floor. A blindside can leave your entire party confused against a group of 5 monsters.

Your only hope is that one character is still standing with the ability to try to run and the escape attempt actually works.

The least fun thing to farm for me is Shah Dalamadur because of his RNG meteors of doom and despair that always spawn the instant you press a button and combo into each other and his fireballs

anyway I've been trying to play super ghouls n ghosts lately, that pretty much speaks for itself.

also been into Solomon's Key, finishing the nes version without savestates is a pretty respectable accomplishment.

and I've also been getting into lode runner, dunno when I'll get around to finishing one though the difficulty seems to vary a lot. but really it's more length since there are so many levels. a little over 30 levels into battle lode runner and tlr, probably not into the double digits in hyper, and championship loder runner hahahahaha haven't figured out how to beat the first level yet.
